Delhi Metro is a 50-50 equity participation of the Government of Delhi (GNCTD) and Central Government[2]
-- AAP Government invested Rs 7,268 crore during 2014-2024 in Delhi Metro[3]

1. Expansion of Delhi Metro

Phase 4 expansion

Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension stretch, the 1st section of the Delhi Metro Phase 4 got inaugurated on 5 Jan 2025[6:2]

  • Includes additional 104 km network and is expected to carry 1.5 million passengers daily
  • Construction of 3 corridors is already underway[7]
    • Their length will be 65.20 km
    • 45 metro stations will be built
    • Tuhalaqabad-Aerocity, RK Ashram-Janakpuri West, and Mukundpur-Maujpur Extension[4:1]
  • Tendering Process started for other 2 lines[4:2]
    • Lajpat Nagar-Saket and Indraprastha-Inder Lok

2. Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS)[3:1]

Delhi AAP government contributed Rs 1,260 crore for 1st Phase from Delhi to Meerut

  • RRTS, a joint effort of the Central Government, Delhi Government, UP Government, and Haryana Government
  • It is connecting the NCR region with Delhi
