The power plants in Punjab are running on maximum load even in Winters when power requirement is low

During Dec 2022, Punjab was banking around 1,200 MW daily

As part of Power Banking Process:

  • During Winters, We are supplying the power to other states and union territories, including Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and some southern states
  • During the paddy season & Summer, we receive power from these states
