Goal: to create a sports culture in Punjab and build a structure for sportsmen at the village level as per New Sports Policy: Punjab
Sports Nurseries: 260 in 1st phase within 2024-25, Total 1000 planned[1]
-- A Sports Nursery is being built in every 4-5 km radius[1:1]
-- Dedicated to 1 sport with dedicated Coaching staffSports grounds: 2,461 have been created and work on 1,623 grounds is underway[2]
-- Open Sports facility
Area where a particular sport is more popular, the nursery of the same sport is being set up
Applications already invited for 260 coaches and 26 supervisors of 260 Sports Nurseries by 10 March 2024
