DBSE

A 21st century State board with

  • A Continuous assessment system/Holistic evaluation
  • Focus on students' all round development
  • Encouragement of Creative thinking
  • Preparedness for future challenges in a stress-free environment

What's wrong with our current Education system

  • Rote learning & memorizing textbooks i.e. restricting a child's creativity
  • High stress exams that could make or break a student’s future based on that one day
  • Convergent thinking - which looks at solving problems with a single, correct answer

Competencies adopted: Learning from the best

An in-depth review and analysis was conducted by DBSE of the competencies adopted by the world's best education systems like Finland, Singapore, Canada, Australia & Korea

This led to following competencies to be adopted by DBSE

Vision[7][8]

  • Retention and Application of Knowledge practically
  • Scientific temperament with openness to new ideas and feedback for learning and growth
  • Leading a purposeful and productive life by inculcating confidence, happiness, resilience, and an entrepreneurship mindset
  • Higher order thinking and life skills in personal, professional, and social life to strive towards contentment
  • Compassion, generosity, and non-discrimination contribute to the happiness and well-being of the self, community, and ecosystem
