2 Schemes for Free Private coaching for JEE/NEET/Competitive Exams

1- CM Super Talented Children Coaching Scheme
2- Jai BHIM Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vidyarthi Coaching Yojana

1. CM Super Talented Children Coaching Scheme[3]

Lauched in 2015, All students of Delhi Govt schools are eligible[4]

100 additional seats for girl students annouced from 2024 session, increasing the total seats from 300 to 400[2:1]

  • 150 students from class 9 & 11 are selected each year
  • An Common Entrance examination is conducted separately for class 9 & 11[5]
  • The coaching duration is 4 years for class 9 students and 2 years for class 11 students[5:1]
  • FREE NEET/JEE coaching from top private coaching institute of Delhi
  • To encourage more participation from girl students a provision of extra 100 seats from 2024 academic session i.e. Total becomes 400 seats

2. Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojna[6]

Launched in 2017, Eligible students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS Categories

-- Stipend of Rs. 2500 per month is paid to students directly
-- Coaching fee will be paid to the institute or re-imbursed to the students

This coaching scheme was halted for 1.5 years (early 2023 - Oct 2024) with bureaucratic hurdles (under BJP control)[7]

Elibile Students:

  1. Residents of Delhi & belonging to SC/ST/OBC / EWS Categories
  2. Annual family income limit is up to Rs. 8 lacs
  3. Passed 10th and 12th class from schools in Delhi

Competitive Examination applicable:

  1. Recruitment Exams like SSC/DSSSB/Railway/Bank and entrance exams for MBA, MCA
  2. Various recruitment exams for Defense forces i.e. NDA, CDS,
    AFCAT.
  3. Exams for recruitment of technical posts i.e. IES, GATE, A.E., J.E.

Objectives[8]

  • To remove financial disparities in education
  • To empower and encourage girl students to take up STEM Courses
  • To provide equal opportunities to bright students from government schools
