Multiple cases of sexual assault reported in Delhi MCD schools [1]

Solution: Delhi Municipal Corporation will install >10,000 CCTV cameras across 786 school sites[1:1]

Scheme Details [1:2]

  • MCD Delhi to install 10,786 CCTV cameras at a cost of approximately ₹25 Crore
  • Each MCD school to have 10 IP-enabled Vandal Dome cameras and 5 bullet cameras
  • Cameras to be strategically installed at vulnerable points
  • Selected agency to install cameras with 4 years' AMC and 1 year warranty

Cameras Features[1:3]

  • CCTV cameras to have night vision capability
  • Cameras to have motion sensors and will start recording upon detecting any movement
  • Cameras to be connected with 50mbps internet to allow virtual access from anywhere
