12 Aug 2023: Delhi MCD has initiated a year-long "Ab Delhi Hogi Saaf" campaign to clean all 250 wards of Delhi[1]

Impact as 18 Jan 2024: 100% of garbage vulnerable points(GVP) already eliminated, and the sites have been beautified[2]

Marathon inspection Drive by Mayor[3]: She, along with MLAs & leaders, will be visiting every ward under the jurisdiction of MCD from 10 Jan 2024 to March 2024

Ab Delhi Hogi Saaf[1:1]

  • 3,000 teams formed, with each team tasked to monitor over 50 lanes
  • Teams to inspect the allotted lanes and file complaints immediately if they find garbage on the streets
  • Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to also be a part of the campaign
  • 158 GVPs were initially identified in late September, 2023 across the 12 zones under MCD jurisdiction
  • 100% of garbage vulnerable points(GVP) already eliminated by 18 Jan 2024[2:1]

Garbage along railway tracks[4]

9500 metric tonnes of the total 31989 metric tonnes already cleared - remaining to be cleared by 31 March, 2024 [4:1]

  • Special initiative targetted specifically to clean all the Garbage along railway tracks
