40 Govt Hospitals now provide Free dialysis facilities[1]
-- 23 District Hospitals
-- 14 Sub-Divisional Hospitals
-- 3 Community Health Centres

This bolsters healthcare facilities for patients with kidney ailments

32800 dialysis sessions have been given to 4831 patients from April 2024 to Nov 2024

MoU with NGOs

  • Punjab Government also has collaboration with NGOs including The Hans Foundation, Mata Gujri Trust Jagraon and Helpful NGO[1:1]
  • Govt has total 64 hospitals (41 sub-divisional and 23 district hospitals[2]

Hans Foundation[2:1]

  • The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Hans Foundation on February 27, 2024
  • Free dialysis services at 8 government hospitals started in Punjab from 25 Sept 2024, 30 new dialysis machines were started on 25 Sept 2024
  • Locations: Patiala, Amritsar, Malerkotla, Moga, Goniana, Fazilka, Faridkot, and Jalandhar
  • Hans Foundation will be providing trained medical officers and other staff, consumables, dialysis machines and RO plants to the department and will supervise the functioning of these centres
  • In addition to free dialysis, all the essential medications will also be provided at free of cost
