Patients at Punjab Government Hospitals do not have to spend anything from their pocket[2:1]
i.e. SAVING the out-of-pocket (personal) expenditure of patients
Local purchase, if required
For local purchase in case of non-availability, civil surgeons can spend up to Rs 10 lakh while senior medical officers have been authorised to purchase medicines worth Rs 2.50 lakh. Director can purchases of up to Rs 20 lakh
At least one quotation must be sourced from Jan Aushadhi/AMRIT Pharmacy for local purchase
