28 January 2024: Punjab: From ‘emerging state’ in 2018 to ‘top performer’ in 2022

• 1 August 2021 - 31 December 2022: Punjab has supported state startups amounting to more than Rs 3 crore during the period of consideration
• For the purposes of ranking, 5 categories:
  • Best performer
  • Top performer
  • Leader
  • Aspiring leader
  • Emerging startup ecosystems

¶ 3. Green school excellence^[4]

31 Jan 2024: Punjab bagged the coveted title of the Best State

Sangrur, in Punjab, was honored with the Best District Award

• Centre for Science and Environment (CSE)'s prestigious annual green school awards
• These accolades are bestowed annually through CSE’s Green Schools Programme (GSP), a 19-year-old initiative
• A total of 4,734 schools from the state diligently submitted their audit reports, with 70 schools earning the esteemed ‘green’ rating
• A green school is an environmentally conscious institution
