Online student attendance tracking implemented in government schools
-- New E-Punjab School Login Mobile App got introduced in all 19,000+ schools^[1]
-- Launch Date: 15 December 2023

The previous system was In-efficient, time-consuming and Error-prone as it involved school teachers and class in-charges mark students’ attendance in registers before manually uploading it onto the portal^[2]

Daily SMS will be sent to parents of absentee students
-- Check on absenteeism and will help monitor school drop out rates^[3]

¶ Advantages of the E-Punjab School Login app^[2:1]

1. It is easy, quicker and more efficient
2. Attendance will be marked directly on the app and get automatically updated to the central portal
3. There is no need for manual data entry, reducing errors and saving time
4. The education department will have real-time access to attendance data therefore making monitoring of student attendance patterns easy
5. If there are cases of irregular attendance,necessary intervention and support can be provided to the student to stay focused on their learning goals
6. The use of technology will help the education department to improve administrative efficiency and enhance the overall learning environment for students
