Bumper Punjab Police Recuitment under AAP Govt

June 19, 2024: 10,000 new posts created at various levels to strengthen Punjab Police[1]
-- Previous Govts took NO action as Strength of police personnel has been 80,000-81,000 since 2002

AAP Punjab govt is already running regular recruitment of 2,100 cops every year to replace retired cops[2]
-- Policy to recruit ~1800 constables and 300 sub-inspectors in the state police force every year was approved in Dec 2022[2:1]
