1. Punjab University, Chandigarh^[1]

Hiked annual grant from ₹38 crore to ₹85 crore by Punjab government

• Additionally 2 new hostels to be built at the cost of ₹49 crores

2. Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhaina^[2]

Funds for capital assets^[3]
-- Rs 40 crores granted for FY2025-26
-- Rs 20 crore issued in FY2024-25

• The funds being spent on teaching, research and extension of the programs for the stronger future in the agricultural innovations
• Fibre optic network for the internet will be improved
• Key civil and elctrical work will be undertaken
• Agro processing centre and the gene bank will be established
• The initiatives will help to develop the climate resilient, biofortified and traint specific crop varieties

3. Punjabi University, Patiala

Monthly grant Hiked to
-- ₹30 crore in 2023-24^[4]
-- ₹45 crore grant for 2024-25^[5]

Monthly grant was only ~₹9.5 crore in 2021–22^[4:1]

• Separate grant of ₹3 crore for the girls’ hostel is provided in 2024-25^[5:1]
• With better financial situation of university, Debt is also reducing^[4:2]
