1st School of Happiness is to be inaugurated on Children’s Day November 14[1]

- First phase: upgrade of at least 132 schools across Punjab
- 10 schools will be in urban areas, and 122 will be in rural regions
- Rs 1 crore allocated for each urban school and Rs 1.38 crore for each rural school
- Announced in Budget 2024-25, with initial 100 Schools of Happiness Primary schools[2]

- 8 classrooms, with interactive panels in every classroom

- Age-appropriate furniture will be provided
- Sports facilities for badminton, cricket, and football
