- AAP government decided to resume the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Yuva award in the state after 7 years
- The award is in recognition of the selfless service of the youth toward society
- These awards will be given every year to youth for their outstanding contribution in several fields

Youth participation is most important in environmental/social evils campaigns like drug prevention, stopping stubble burning etc
- Development & promotion of villages through rural youth clubs
- social activities
- blood donation camps
- environment maintenance
- plantation
- cleaning of village/city streets and drains
- cleaning of grounds, and parks
- Selection of 315 youth clubs has been made keeping in mind the grassroots activities of the last two years
- Maximum of Rs. 50,000 will be released per club. He also said that this amount should be spent transparently as per the financial rules
- Jan 12, 2024: Rs. 1.50 Cr was released to 315 youth clubs in 1st phase, similar amount to released in 2nd phase
- Annual awards are being started for the youth clubs
- The awards will be based on the marks obtained by combining all the activities
- The awards to be selected at the district level
- The clubs coming in the first three places will get Rs. 5 lakhs, Rs. 3 lakhs, and Rs. 2 lakh cash respectively
