Super 5000 programme for government school students to train for competitive exams like JEE/NEET

• Punjab Education Department in a unique inititative launches "Super 5000 programme"
• Super 5000 group will include 5000 students
  • All class 12 science students from meritorious schools included
  • Best 10% students from other government schools
• The chosen students will be provided with
  • Extra coaching classes
  • Study materials and mentorship

¶ Study/Industrial tours to promote science^[2]

In order to increase awareness about various courses and carreer opportunities in science

• Punjab Government has allocated Rs.18.42 crore
• For arranging study tours of classes 9-12 to various eminent institutes like IISER,IIT Ropar,NIPER etc
