“તે એક મોટી રાહત છે. વીજળી જરૂરી છે. અગાઉની સરકારો હેઠળ, અમારા માટે બિલ ચૂકવવું એક પડકાર હતું કારણ કે તે ઉનાળામાં લગભગ ₹2,000 પ્રતિ મહિને અને શિયાળામાં મહિને ₹1,000 હતું. અમે જુલાઈ 2022 થી એક પણ બિલ ચૂકવ્યું નથી ,” અમૃતસર જિલ્લાના એક દૂરના ગામ મંડિયાલાના કાંતિ (54)એ જણાવ્યું હતું ^[1]

• પંજાબમાં દર મહિને 300 યુનિટ મફત
• પંજાબમાં 2 મહિનાના બિલ સાયકલ માટે કુલ 600 યુનિટ ફ્રી

સ્વચાલિત સબસિડી : કોઈ એપ્લિકેશન નહીં, કોઈ ગણતરીઓ નહીં

સાર્વત્રિક, બધા માટે : કોઈ જાતિ પ્રમાણપત્ર નથી, કોઈ આવક પ્રમાણપત્ર નથી

¶ ¶ અસર

પંજાબમાં 97+% પરિવારોને ડિસેમ્બર 2023 માં શૂન્ય બિલ મળ્યા ^[3]

¶ ¶ હજુ પણ પાવર સરપ્લસ, પાવર કટ નથી

• પંજાબમાં 23 જૂન 2023ના રોજ પાવર કટ વિના 15325 મેગાવોટની અત્યાર સુધીની સૌથી વધુ માંગ પૂરી થઈ ^{[6] [7]}
  • ગયા વર્ષે પંજાબમાં મહત્તમ વીજ માંગ 14311 મેગાવોટ હતી ^[7:1]
• PSPCL એ 24 જૂન 2023ના રોજ એક દિવસમાં 3435 લાખ યુનિટ પાવર સપ્લાયનો નવો રેકોર્ડ બનાવ્યો ^[7:2]
  • આ પાછલા વર્ષના રેકોર્ડ કરતાં 91 લાખ યુનિટ વધુ છે ^[7:3]
• PSPCL વર્ષનો ટોચનો મહિનો જૂન મહિનામાં પણ 280 કરોડની 'સરપ્લસ' પાવર વેચે છે ^[8]

¶ ખેડૂત માટે વીજળી

• ખેડૂતો માટે મફત અને સંપૂર્ણ વીજળી

¶ શું પંજાબ સરકારે સબસિડીની ચૂકવણી કરી હતી? ^[9]

• હા, સરકાર દ્વારા 20,000 કરોડની તમામ સબસિડીની ચૂકવણી પહેલેથી જ કરવામાં આવી છે
• અગાઉની કોંગ્રેસ સરકારના 9000 કરોડના બાકી લેણાં પણ PSPCLને હપ્તામાં ચૂકવવા ^[10]

¶ કોંગ્રેસના શાસન દરમિયાન ( 2021)

• વીજળીની અછતને કારણે ઉદ્યોગો બંધ રહેતા હતા ^[11]
• વીજળીની અછત વચ્ચે સરકારી કચેરીઓએ કામના કલાકોમાં ઘટાડો કર્યો ^[12]
• અને ચાલો શહેરી અને ગ્રામીણ બંને વિસ્તારો માટે પાવરકટનો ઉલ્લેખ પણ ન કરીએ ^[13]
