The Delhi government has taken initiative to redesign 100 ft wide roads along the lines of european standards

With this project, Delhi will have created road networks that contribute to healthier, more connected, and livable urban environment and inspire everyone to have a sense of pride about their city

Challenges

Due to constant interference of Central government appointed LG, this project is getting delayed since PWD department is running headless without the secretary[2].

Maintainance Pilot Project [6]

Soon, the 41 km roads redeveloped along the lines of European standards under the streetscaping projects will be maintained and closely monitored by a high-tech artificial intelligence-modelled system to report in case of any potholes, damaged roads, missing median, cattle invasion, accident or any water/sewer leakages on these revamped stretches.
