Flow meters is a device used to
-- Measure the volume of water flowing through a pipeline
-- Gauge water pressure

  • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition(SCADA) System
  • A key step is installation of flow meters
  • For real-time monitoring of water usage across Delhi
  • Installation to be done across all 1550kms of Delhi water pipelines
  • The data that these meters collect is ultimately transmitted to the SCADA system
  • This valuable data will be accessible at the Common Command Centre
  • Informed decision-making on water conservation, identifying areas experiencing water depletion, and determining where additional supply can be provided
