Total pipelined network in Delhi: 15,383+ km long^[1]

-- ~97% Unauthorised Colonies of Delhi covered with Regular Water Supply
-- ~93.5% households of Delhi now have access to piped water supply

¶ Water Pipeline^[2:1]

March 2024: Piped water supply in unauthorized colonies increased from 58%(1044 colonies in 2015) to 91%(1630 colonies in 2024) of total 1799

• A total of ~5000kms of new water pipeline has been laid for this purpose in unauthorised colonies^[3]

¶ Rural Delhi^[4]

Delhi becomes 7th State/UT which is having 100% piped water network in rural areas

DJB completed this task without any financial assistance from the centre, while other states and UTs got funds from union Jal Shakti ministry

• 34 rural villages connected with piped water network and 22841 households got water connections in Delhi under Jal Jeevan Mission funded by Delhi Jal Board

¶ Pilferage and Leakages^[5]

• A significant amount of water goes "Unaccounted" before it reaches to a stage of supply to consumers
• Pilferage and leakages can be identified through installing flow meters which is being taken up in parallel^[5:1]
