HUNAR Punjab portal
-- Single platform where industry can find and hire skilled youth of Punjab, with local youth given preference in industrial jobs
-- 1,700+ institutions already registered, across 7 administrative department categories
-- launched by CM Bhagwant Mann on 8 Oct 2026
- Institute Discovery: makes available talent visible to industry
- Hiring and Placements: companies hire skilled youth directly through the portal
- Internship and Industrial Training: end-to-end internships with industry, institutes, students, alumni and departments
- Industry-Institute Collaboration: MoU-backed partnerships for guest lectures, faculty development, on-job training, placements, curriculum inputs, infrastructure and technology support, and CSR collaboration
- Limited visibility of available talent
- Fragmented industry-institute engagement
- No link between demand and supply of skills
- No defined response timelines: the system has fixed timelines, separate dashboards for industry, institutes and departments, a query and grievance facility and a help desk
Full rollout of all four modules (separate logins, statewide talent management, departmental monitoring of placements, training and collaborations) is still in progress
