  • The school operates like a physical school with classes from 8.30am to 11.30am
  • Each class has around 30 students
  • School admits students between classes 9 to 12
  • DMVS is a part of the Schools of Specialised Excellence
  • Affiliated to the Delhi Board of School Education, the school follows the International Baccalaureate programme

Parents, too, are expressing satisfaction with DMVS. Manish Saraf, a parent living in Goa, opted for virtual schooling for his son, Akarsh, studying in Class X. The family's move from Delhi to Goa prompted this decision due to concerns about the local education system. Saraf noted that DMVS provided individual attention to each student, reinforcing the school's commitment to delivering quality education.[4]

Preparation before Launch[5]

  • Budget 2021-22: The concept of virtual school was proposed by the Delhi Government
  • The Chief Deputy Minister, Manish Sisodia constituted a six-member committee comprising of school principals, teachers and IT managers to study global best practices and models of virtual schools in the United States and New Zealand and submit a plan for the Delhi Virtual School
