July 2026: 1.6 lakh+ parents connected through WhatsApp-based home learning; all 23 districts & 26,209 Anganwadi workers covered (with Pratham & Rocket Learning)[1]

Aarambh’s curriculum includes 150+ play-based activities that focus on cognitive, pre-literacy, pre-numeracy, social-emotional, and motor skills development[3:2]

Highlights

It introduces an innovative digital platform creating teacher-parent communities at the school level, facilitating daily educational content sharing through WhatsApp groups[4:2]

  • The focus is on the holistic development of young children by engaging parents and caregivers in simple, play-based learning activities[5]
  • The technology platform uses AI and Machine Learning (ML) to send real-time behavioural nudges, track participation, and generate virtual ‘report cards’ to motivate parents and educators[3:3]
  • It will ensure continuous parental guidance and involvement in children’s early learning processes, particularly benefiting over 3.8 lakh low-income families[4:3]
  • It is aimed at transforming early childhood education for children aged 3 to 6 years[5:1]
  • There are 3.5+ lakh pre-primary students currently enrolled in Punjab’s government schools[4:4]
  • This initiative will initially be launched in 8 districts i.e. Ludhiana, Mohali, Patiala, Rupnagar, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Tarn Taran, Sangrur and Amritsar
  • Developed in collaboration with the Punjab Development Commission and Rocket Learning NGO[4:5]
  • Pilot program was succesfully conducted in Ludhiana district's pre-primary schools and co-located Anganwadis to test this innovative programme[3:4]
