At Gulfood 2024 a Global Food and Beverage sourcing event in Dubai, Punjab Government displayed its capability as a food processing powerhouse^[1]

Punjabi brands of Chilli paste, Tomato puree, Tomato paste and organic basmati rice^[1:1]
-- Secured orders from countries like UAE, Canada, UK and Nepal
-- 200 inquiries from prospective buyers worldwide

Discussions with Spain, Estonia, Italy, Russia, and others on adopting new technologies and products to benefit Punjab's farmers

¶ Goal of the delegation

• To Promote Punjab's growing capacity in food processing
• Attract foreign and domestic investment
• Inspire enterprenuers to build businesses in Punjab
• Form international partnerships and expand exports in the food sector

¶ Highlights of the global expo^[1:2]

• The Punjab state delegation, under the guidance of the Punjab Agriculture minister Gurpreet Singh Khudian attracted over 200 inquiries from prospective buyers worldwide
• The delegation secured orders from countries like Nepal, UAE, Canada, and the UK
• The Punjab Agri Export Corporation (PAGREXCO) generated interest in top quality food brands of chilli paste, tomato puree, tomato paste and organic basmati rice.
• Discussions on new agricultural technologies to improve produce were held with representatives from Spain, Estonia, Italy, and Russia
• Ideas to increase basmati rice exports discussed with leading rice exporters
