Nov 2025: Pensioner Sewa Portal launched for ~3.15 lakh pensioners with 6 services incl. digital life certificate submission; Pensioner Sewa Melas held at district treasuries to speed up registration[1]

Aug 2025: Finance Dept withdrew the option clause that stopped families of deceased NPS employees from getting family/invalid pension[2]

  • New modules of IFMS and IHRMS launched[3]
  • 3 IT-based financial modules inaugurated on 18 Feb 2025 including Pensioner Sewa Portal, Non-Treasury Integrated Financial Management System (NT-IFMS) and SNA SPARSH[4]

Action against DDOs now if delay in salary bills[5]

DDOs used to delay submition of salary bills to 20-25th of the month, leading to usual delay in salaries

  • There is a great news for the Punjab government employees
  • Now, action will be taken against DDOs if there is delay in getting salary to employees
  • The order has been issued to submit salary bills by 7th of every month

State Public Procurement Portal[3:1]

Provides single point access to procurements across various procuring entities

  • Promoting competition in the procurement process
  • Portal to improve transparency and accountability in the procurement procedure
  • All procuring entities would also publish their procurement plans on the portal in the beginning of each financial year

Decentralisation of Medical approvals[6]

Enables quick settlement of Medical bills for employees and reduces work at Director level

  • 4x increase in limit of approvals of private medical bills of Govt employees through civil surgeon
  • Increased from Rs 25000 to Rs 1 lakh
  • There was no change since 2010 in limit for District level approval of medical bills
