HUNAR Punjab portal
-- Single platform where industry can find and hire skilled youth of Punjab, with local youth given preference in industrial jobs[1]
-- 1,700+ institutions already registered, across 7 administrative department categories[1:1]
-- launched by CM Bhagwant Mann on 8 Oct 2026

Four modules[1:2]

  1. Institute Discovery: makes available talent visible to industry
  2. Hiring and Placements: companies hire skilled youth directly through the portal
  3. Internship and Industrial Training: end-to-end internships with industry, institutes, students, alumni and departments
  4. Industry-Institute Collaboration: MoU-backed partnerships for guest lectures, faculty development, on-job training, placements, curriculum inputs, infrastructure and technology support, and CSR collaboration

Problems it addresses[1:3]

  • Limited visibility of available talent
  • Fragmented industry-institute engagement
  • No link between demand and supply of skills
  • No defined response timelines: the system has fixed timelines, separate dashboards for industry, institutes and departments, a query and grievance facility and a help desk

Full rollout of all four modules (separate logins, statewide talent management, departmental monitoring of placements, training and collaborations) is still in progress[1:4]
